Spirit Fired: inks and dyes moved by fire and alcohol to tell a story.

Reborn

A personal composition on disassociation, in saturated red and shadow. Second of five works in the series, 2018.

Connecting with what stirs feelings is essential to connect to the present. Christalyn Brooks
Figurative composition in saturated red and shadow, second work in the Reborn series

Every piece is fired by hand, in wine, mezcal, vodka, moonshine and champagne, with an energy meant to ignite your soul.

Selected works

Each work opens onto its own page, where you can see it on your wall at true scale or place it in your room with augmented reality.

Spirit is what connects all of humanity. The colors we choose to stimulate our spirit and set our moods are scientifically proven to have an impact on our emotions and in many instances determine our economic and physiological fate. The influence of color fascinates me and thoroughly navigates the direction of my work.

Fired with spirit

Every work begins with inks and dyes and ends in flame. The alcohol carries the pigment, the fire decides where it settles, and the hand guides both.
